The latest edition of Redbird Report Radio:
We talk about the Cardinals west coast trip; Zambrano to the bullpen; Alex Rodriguez/Dallas Braden argument.
I apologize for the advertisement at the beginning. I think you might be able to skip through it. Either way, thanks for listening!
No-hitters and 20-inning games are rare by themselves, but to have them both on the same day is even more far-fetched of an idea.
Or is it?
Actually, on April 27, 2003, the very same thing happened when the Cardinals beat the Marlins 7-6. That same day, Kevin Millwood threw a no-hitter for the Phillies.
The same thing happened on Saturday, April 17, when the Cardinals and Mets dueled it out for 20 innings and Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez recorded the first no-hitter in Rockies history.
Here’s the latest version of Redbird Report Radio, a special episode discussing Saturday’s history-making day.
This is the second episode of Redbird Report Radio. There are a few audio problems toward the end, but for the most part the sound quality is pretty solid.
This is first podcast on RedbirdReport.com. I talk with Vinnie Pizzi of what is soon to be elgoldensombrero.com, an MLB blog about the St. Louis Cardinals and news around the MLB.
The link for the podcast is below, but here are some things you should know in order to listen to it.
You simply click the link, then click the link on the right of the page that says “Regular download,” then it will take you to a page where you will scroll to the bottom and click “download now.” From there, it will play straight from your iTunes.
It’s a pretty simple process and won’t harm your computer at all.
Thanks, and enjoy!
